Graduated bottle with glass cup, England, 1801-1900

The scratched scale on the bottle and the glass measuring cup uses common measuring spoon amounts – teaspoons, dessertspoons, and tablespoons. For this reason it was probably made for domestic use to give a measured dose of medicine. Not all teaspoons, tablespoons and dessertspoons were exactly the same size. The bottle and cup were made from blown glass.
