Glass slab possibly used by Joseph Lister in his microbiology experiments, Europe, 1870-1912

This glass slab would have been used to cover specimens and flasks that were being experimented on to allow air in but not dust. It is shown here with six of Joseph Lister’s test tubes (A641018).
